This place was unimpressed. We visited 19 Gold for lunch thinking this was an authentic Taiwanese place. Ordered food through the restaurant app. Received little to no interaction as they seemed burnout (I understand). Steamed Pork Belly with Sweet Garlic Sauce - the meat was juicy and tender, but the sweet garlic sauce killed the dish. It was overpowering. The flavors lingered on the tongue long after the meal was over. Preserved Egg with Chilled Tofu - tofu seemed like it was straight from a store-bought container. For me, preserved eggs should taste a little salty and have a smooth, creamy texture when eaten. I think the preserved eggs here stayed too long in the fridge. The sauce tasted pretty much the same as sweet garlic sauce minus the garlic. Surf & Turf Malatang with minced pork over rice - milky broth with seafood, protein, and vegetable. Prawns were not fresh. Prawns were shelled which made them dry and taste old. Rubbery texture. Minced pork over rice was actually good. Overall their malatang was just alright. Not memorable. Deep-Fried Golden Bun with Condensed Milk - the buns soaked up a lot of oil when frying. Well, condensed milk helped. Not a fan.

Love love love! The portion is HUGE for their malatang. There all sorts of vegetables and stuff in it. Highly recommend

The most tidy and clean 19 GOLD Taiwanese Restaurant around the area. Offers Taiwanese cuisine. Their two main course & soup combo offers a wide range of main course selection at a reasonable price. Perfect for a couple. Service is efficient and the service is friendly and prompt.
