This Arcadia noodle shop opened right before the pandemic and it took me until now to finally make the trip here. It was certainly worth the drive out. With any noodle shop, whether Chinese or Japanese, I tend to trust it more if they limit their menu offerings. 1919 Lanzhou Beef Noodle follows that maxim, with their soup noodles all being a variant of their standard beef noodles, along with a small handful of dry noodle bowls. In exchange for their limited offerings, you get to pick the spiciness of the broth and the thickness of the noodle, though they're all cut from the same dough. New restaurant for me, and I came because of high ratings. I ordered 1. Ma-la beef noodle soup (麻辣牛肉麵) , mild and with wide noodle 2. Appetizer bean curd with celery (芹菜豆腐皮) Both were delicious. I like the fact that the soup was clean and flavourful. The beef was tender and easy to eat. The noodle, which the chef made as the order was placed, was VERY good and with right amount of chewiness. The appetizer, needless to say, was tasty as well. This is definitely a "will return" restaurant.

Ordered the house special Lanzhou noodles and I like it. Ordered the side dish of 3 items and it's good. The dry noodle is a bit too oily for us that we will sticks to noodle soup next time. Yes, we will come back
