1AM Hot Chicken in Artesia

Was craving hot chicken on a late Sunday night. Everything is closed and I see this place on Yelp! Me being an idiot, I drive to Cerritos. I get there and I cant find this place! I call the number and no answer. They immediately send me a text saying, "Yo, who's this?". Then they tell me to order on Instagram via DM. They also tell me it's last call as it was around 11:10pm. Literally 2 min later I gave them my order after looking at the menu on Instagram. At around 11:30pm they post on insta that they are sold out. I'm still thinking I ordered on time since I placed it at 11:12pm. Long Story short, I wait until 12am thinking they are probably frying some chicken or something. They never replied to me again...

Chicken so damn good I almost slapped my momma. I seriously had to throw my hat away cause this chicken wasn't Cappin.

It was my first time trying the food and the chicken, sides and everything were sooo GOOD! There are not many places to eat Nashville style hot chicken in the OC, let alone Cerritos so I was excited to try 1am hot chicken. The breading on the chicken was so crispy and was the best part.  It's not too spicy and has a lot of cajun flavoring with a hint of sweetness. The toast that was underneath it was drizzled with honey which I thought was such a good combo adding sweetness along with the fresh coleslaw. A lot of great flavors on one plate! I ordered fries with my order and it was a generous portion for $2 extra. This is the perfect meal if you're not going out and just want to to-go something good and stay at home with friends. Definitely will be coming again and recommending friends DM them on Instagram and make sure to bring cash
