I hate giving more 3 reviews, but this dive is sort of middle of the road. But I had GREAT service on this Saturday night! Sit where you want, too. I had the appetizer of mozzarella sticks. These were great. Now, the chicken tenders plate was quite disappointing. You don't get a horrible lot of chicken tenders, they're small and mine tasted a tad undercooked (I like my chicken done). Really expensive at $10 for such little food. Apparently there are bands who play live here, so I'd be stoked to see a show here. If I come back to Asheville soon, I'll try other entrees here and update the review.

If you walk into Four College expecting a glamorous experience, you're doing it wrong. This is a great dive(ish) bar centrally located downtown. I had the good fortune of enjoying a quick one before dinner plans here and it was a great place to start the night. It wasn't crowded, the staff was friendly, and there was live music (The Occasional Caucasians, which were awesome). When the stage isn't getting used by the band, there's several dart boards available. It's a perfect spot to get away from crowds...

If I could leave a negative star review, I would. Bartender (Nick) was a complete prick and repeatedly called one of our group of 11 people a bitch for honestly no reason. I am pretty chill, especially where alcohol is involved, but this was totally uncalled for, and wouldn't have jived even if we knew him well enough. We were a group of a only buzzed and not yet obnoxious bachelorette party. Several of our party ordered red bull and vodkas. They were almost entirely red bull and no vodka. We paid and tipped him after tasting the drinks, but still tipped nonetheless, and over 15%. He told us maybe if we tipped better, we would've gotten better drinks. Not sure how that logic works out, but ok, buddy, sure. I get bartenders may not like to see a large bachelorette group coming into their bar, but guess what, you work in the service industry, and more importantly, your bar was nearly empty.
