A-ME KITCHEN in Alhambra

My sister and I finally had lunch here on a Sunday afternoon in July. It was mentioned in SGV Eats Facebook group and I always passed by this place. We parked on the street since their lot was filled with cars. We arrived past 11:20am and the place was filled with customers. The staff are nice and they speak some English. The menu was 2 pages and easy to read. We ordered honey garlic fried pork chops, chow fun, French style beef, and bowl of rice. Each dish came one at a time. The honey garlic pork chops was so delicious, fried just right, and hard to stop eating. The French style beef was tender and gave a lot compared to other restaurants. Lastly, the beef chow fun was good and had a lot of beef pieces and plenty of bean sprouts and green onions. Refills on water was good too. Overall I recommend this place if you are craving for HK style cuisine.

Came here looking for Tasty Garden without realizing it's been so long it's no longer there...Awk. But we were in the mood for Cantonese food so whatever. Was promptly seated in a booth and was satisfied with how succinct the menu is in comparison to other Cantonese restaurants. After the closure of Tasty Garden Alhambra, banners went up announcing the future opening of A-Me Kitchen.  However the pandemic hit and while the banner remained up, nothing was happening there until now, as A-Me Kitchen has amazingly opened up.  Standard Hong Kong style fare.  The French style fried fish was excellent and the steamed chicken and beef chow fun were also quite good.  Menu is kind of short with a few dozen items, but hopefully the menu will expand as things return to normal.
