We were traveling and wanted to find a place for dinner. My husband has spent time in the Philippines and so when we came across this place, we were intrigued. After reading reviews, we decided to try it. Holy moly, I am so glad we did!! The owner is super friendly and the food is cooked fresh. We had the bbq chicken, pork, and shrimp which comes with grilled veggies, pancit, and lumpia. We also had the chicken adobo which comes with rice. My gosh, the flavors were sooooo yummy!! We went last night and I'm still thinking about that food today. I wish we lived closer because we would be coming here a lot!

I was looking for a unique restaurant in Cookeville, and was elated to discover A Taste of the a Philippines. I previously visited a Filipino, restaurant in Clarksville, TN which was OK but nothing special. When I entered A Taste of the Philippines, I was impressed with the simple but authentic appearance Of the restaurant. I was really impressed when my BBQ1 meal consisting of a kabob of fresh vegetables and another kabob of chicken grilled and seasoned to enhance the culinary experience. The meal also came with some lightly crunchy lumpia with vegetable and chicken filling and an order of noodles called Pancit. The food was definitely the best I have experienced in the South. The server was very friendly and made me feel like I was enjoying a home cooked experience. Plenty of parking and nice location on the corner near a residential community. Looking forward to returning soon!

Had a great lunch at this hidden gem while working near Cookeville. The Adobo was very flavorful and excellent! And the lumpia numerous! I was stuffed by the time I walked out.
