We just had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Abigail's Moroccan Cuisine. The lamb and couscous special was a subtly spiced delight, with tender, savory lamb falling off the bone and carrots, squash, and couscous infused with the tasty juices of the meat. The eggplant and saffron rice plate was also delicious. We ended up ordering a second round of the sweet mint tea, and our server surprised us with a little plate of shortbread-like cookies that were a pleasant close to meal. The window tables and those outside have a dramatic, interesting view across the bay towards San Francisco and the peninsula just south of the city. The whole area is a fascinating mix of pleasure boats, beach (yes, there is a nice, long, sandy beach just a little south of here on the main island of Alameda) and gr...
