Hubs craving oxtail soup, so this is where we head. Approximately 30 minute wait for our family of 4 on Friday at around noon. Wait seems to die down at around 1:30. Our server was friendly; although, if we needed anything we needed to flag her down. Started off with the garlic fries - love that they're shoestring fries. Kids ate them all up before I could even grab a few. One kiddo ordered the pizza and the other the saimin. The pizza crust is doughy which kiddo likes. I ordered the Furikaoe Ahi salad - comes with 2 pieces of fish. Good flavor and fresh greens. Couldn't leave without a slice of strawberry crunch cake - yum! Not sure which one I like better - strawberry or lemon?!? Hubs...

What the hell? All these visits I was doing it wrong? How many times I've been here, I don't even know, I've lost track. So many plates of tasty chicken, so many bowls of oxtail soup, so many pieces of Strawberry Crunch Cake.. But it's not that bangin' cake or the Alley's signature Tasty Chicken I need to talk to you about. We need to talk about the even more famous, incredibly delicious Oxtail Soup. That soup is one of my most favorite things to eat on the whole island. From my first bowl I was in love with this soup. So much so, I barely look at the menu anymore. I automatically know I'm getting the Oxtail Soup. Now, my wife likes the Oxtail Soup as much as I do, but she's less a creature of habit. She likes to mix it up, ordering all kinds of things from the menu. For example, I've never had the other Alley signature dish, the Coca Cola Turkey, but she has (she liked it a lot!). So anyway, she's looking over the menu deciding what to order. I already know I'm having the Oxtail Soup so to kind of get my motor runnng, I look to the bottom of the menu with the picture and description of the soup. I'm reading about the slow simmering and I'm thinking, yeah, baby, love me some slow simmering. Then it talks about the peanuts, the shitake mushrooms and the bok choy. I am definitely into the bok choy. It goes on to mention the rice, Mom's ponzu dipping sauce and the ginger and garlic. I'm like, yes, yes, yes and yes! Especially the last three there, the ponzu, ginger and garlic. So many different flavor combinations! Then I look down a little further. I mean, all the way to the bottom. What's this? You can add ram...

Alley Restaurant is known for their Oxtail soup and their cola sandwich.... But here's what I love!! I love their tasty chicken and boneless kalbi mixed plate! Their shoyu pork is also soooo good! Onion rings and their shoestring fries is a must!! Last night I got their garlic shrimp for the first time and it's good! But what we always get no matter what we are ordering is a pizza!! Their combination pizza is amazing! The crust is just right and they layer those toppings!!
