If you're ever in Vail looking for authentic German food this is your spot. My 13-year-old daughter and I love the bratwurst and sauerkraut plate. they also have some amazing desserts so check those out.

We had the great pleasure of dining in one of the Fondue Gondolas this evening, and after decades of dining in Aspen, I can describe this as a charmingly unique experience. The Bavarian food was a delight, the service was outstanding, and the setting (in an alpine-adorned gondola car outside of the restaurant proper) was unlike anything I've experienced! All set against the draconian restrictions of COVID, Almresi exceeded expectations. Can't wait to return once smarter policy prevails!

We were delighted to find the new Almresi-Aspen! An authentic, German family-owned restaurant that feels like a portal to Bavaria! The food here is incredible! The best German/Austrian menu I've seen in the US. We loved the rösti with salmon and peppermint schnapps with apple strudel for dessert! Excellent wine selection from regions around the Alps. The decor is beautiful too. Fur chairs, cuckoo clocks, cowbells, German and Austrian staff outfitted In lederhosen and drindls. Feels cozy, organic, and truly authentic. A fantastic addition to Aspen! We cannot wait to go back.
