AltThai is hands down one of the best restaurants in the area. I’ve dined in probably 10 times and it hits every single time. I just ordered take out tonight and wow. Absolutely blown away at how good the food tastes! They give huge portions as well.

We discovered Alt during Covid 2020 (while passing thru Arlington Heights heading home to Chicago). We could only buy curbside and we literally ate curbside a few blocks away. We thought it was delicious. We went back for more curbside a couple times and carry out to bring home. This weekend 11/21 my daughter was visiting from metro Detroit. So we piled in the car and dined for the first time indoors. We felt a sophisticated vibe. With point on ambient music. Our waitress was efficient bringing our appetizers, fresh spring rolls which get 5stars for presentation and flavor. The butterfly coconut shrimp was outstanding. As well as our 3 entrees.We will continue to talk about our fav Thai in the burbs.One tiny flaw, the staff are quite serious. Not looking for “tip talk”. But that’s ok, the food has been consistently delicious. Thank you in the kitchen!
