And Breakfast in Annapolis

This was my first time here as my husband finally took me to visit his college, The Naval Academy. Class of 2000. He wanted to come here first, this was his favorite place by far; he said he frequented every week while here and made so many memories in this ma and pa place. The history here was very neat and it also boasts a Bed & Breakfast above the restaurant. The food was really good and the portions were amazing! You will get in food what you paid for! I had a loaded (make your own) baked potato and It was wonderful and filling all on its own. I had a chocolate malt as well and it was one of the best I have ever had! It's hard to find malts these days and they made a killer one! My husband had the country fried steak platter and as always... He loved it! My 5 year old had a huge platter of excellent macaroni and cheese and ate every last drop. As a side note: I don't think my daughter has ever finished a meal out in her entire life, she finished this one. :) For started they brought us free pickles, they too were great and quite the twist on bringing standard bread to a table. The atmosphere is fun, easy, light and the service was excellent! Very accommodating to children too; we also had a 3 month infant with us. Love the story behind this place and I can't wait to return! My rating doesn't reflect an amazing high end restaurant gourmet meal, but it reflects this place overall. Although the food isn't "high class" it's a ma and pa joint and within its own category it gets a 5 for all around amazing experience!
