Okay ... so my first time here and all I can think about is THOSE WINGS ! Perfectly crispy outside and moist inside yum yum yum ! Ordered Garlic Parmesan with a side of Blue Cheese and Buffalo Sauce.. the sauce was not needed as the wings were incredible! So crunchy with Parmesan on the wings wow wow wow ... The cheese curds were great not mind blowing like the wings but great a better dipping sauce other then marinara and ranch might change that ... they were delicious though ! I will be back 100000 percent! My bartender Emily was so sweet and attentive as a first time visitor ( and first time at a hockey bar where I know nothing about the game ) customers super friendly this bar was incredible !

This bar always has solid draft options, solid games playing on TV, and an overall great atmosphere on top of the amazing poutine. The street hockey in the back alley is the best part. Even during Covid, they maintained their amazing atmosphere and just now finding out their Jazz nights and trivia nights - even better!

Thanks to COVID, I have not been able to drive up home to Vancouver for the last year, and have my regular Canadiana fixes. Sure, I can make homemade poutine, but what's the fun in that? I've bookmarked The Angry Beaver for a few years now but living on the Eastside, I don't get out to Greenwood that much. Being in the area one weekend, and hearing they were reopened for takeout, it was like it was meant to be. I only wanted one thing: POUTINE. I've tried what other restaurants have called 'poutine' and most don't measure up. I was cautiously optimistic but also kept my expectations low, given that after pick up we still had to wait about 30 mins to get home to enjoy it. To my delight, the poutine was delicious! While the fries were soggy (because, takeout), the flavour of the gravy and squeakiness of the curds, and the fries:gravy:curds ratio were spot on. We also ordered the Nanaimo Bars flight and boy did that bring me back to my childhood! I look forward to when the world gets back to the new-normal, and I can have my poutine and watch...
