Austins BBQ in Addison

I was really disappointed visiting Texas and wanted to experience some good bbq.  The ribs had too much cracked pepper,  we didn't get our side order of fries we paid for and the brisket loaded fries were burnt.  Which was a waste of money because we had to throw it out.   The mac and cheese taste like box mac and cheese.  The slices of brisket was nice and tender.  I saw the star rating was great but our experience wasn't, sadly.

A WILD experience. We order a 3 meat plate with a drink. Total is $20. The person who took the order brings us a tray with just two of the meats we ordered. This is fine - assuming they're still cooking the third meat (jalapeño sausage). A little bit of time goes by and we're almost done with our meal so I go up and ask if the sausage is ready. The worker looks at me with a blank face and goes on to say I had a 2 meat plate. I explain we got the 3 meat plate and are missing the sausage. This order all took place two minutes ago and there are barely any people here. He asks for my receipt. I had already thrown it out. This is already getting blown out of proportion because I really don't care that much. He remembers that my bill was $20 so he recreates the order on his computer with a 3 meat plate and what do you know, $20! So he then goes back to the grill man and tells him about the sausage. They exchange some words privately and then the grill man comes up to me and says if I don't get my order correctly right away next time that I have to bring him the tray so he can see what's on there? (To make sure we didn't eat the sausage we're claiming to be missing?) LOL. And we tipped them $8 before all of this started.

We are revising our rating on Austin's BBQ because the last three times we have visited the brisket has NOT been good!! On our visit prior to today, I asked one of the employees how to insure that the brisket was less fatty and not so tough in the future. He said to ask for the brisket to be cut from the middle and moist. I did that today and when I got home the brisket was cut from the end and full of fat!! The ribs were also fatty today and not as tasty as the previous several times. The first 6 times I was extremely satisfied with Austins BBQ, but the last 3 times it was not good. Like they say in baseball, 3 Strikes and your're out...and I doubt that I'll be back to Austins BBQ! Very disappointed and tired of spending $20 per visit and not getting my moneys worth!!
