Autumn in Seattle

My wife and I were looking forward to trying out Autumn and so got a reservation for Sunday night. Wow. Not only was the food top notch but they are already running on all cylinders even though they just opened. We were thinking there might be a few hiccups but from the time we sat down service was attentive, drinks were served promptly and the course spacing was perfect. The biggest standouts for me on the menu were the Panisse, and the Cavatelli with rabbit but everything was delicious.

I am so happy we got a new restaurant in this area and it was an amazing experience! Our server/bartender Michelle made some great recommendations and drinks! Although, it is a smaller place, maybe like 15-20ish  tables? It was really nice inside and they have some outdoor tables away from the busier street of phinney ridge. I had the high noon, a take on their old fashion, which was delicious. My fiancé had the Summer somewhere which was light, refreshening and just the right amount of sweetness.   Squid- was delicious and cooked perfectly. I know sometimes grilled squid can get rubbery if you cook it too long but this was perfect and that polenta was creamy. (P.S. THEY MAKE THEIR OWN BUTTER!!!) 10/10 Panisse- something I cannot say I've had before and not what i was expecting but it was delightful, light and fluffy great pairing with that garlic aioli! 9/10 Doppio- Herbal and fresh pasta cooked in some kind of oil which was delicious!  9/10 Cavatelli (My favorite)- this was a rich and creamy pasta with a hint of spicy. I really enjoyed this one, and the rabbit was so delicate. 10/10 Dessert- I forgot what it was called, it was good but felt like it was missing something? Don't get me wrong it was good, but the rest of the food was GREAT!. 8/10 Overall- would come back and would bring friends here when they are in town! 10/10!

This place was fantastic! We headed here with a certain celebration in mind. It did not disappoint. My husband and i (like everyone else) wanted to get out and try something new. We had the salmon and squid as starter plates. Then we moved on to rabbit pasta and duck. We finished with a dessert that was like a little chocolate pie. We will be back!!
