First, this little shop is a little difficult to find. Look for the big sign in the parking lot that says Lancaster Mall. This little shop is tucked into a strip mall right next to the Mexican restaurant. Look for the cake graphics on the windows.Second, these slices are friggen huge. There is no single bite that hits all layers. These slices are COMMITMENTS and we'll worth the $8 price tag.I ordered the Chocolate Express and Red Velvet Chocolate. The chocolate is your standard death by chocolate, which means it's delicious. No notes.The red velvet is like a cheesecake and those strawberry shortcake ice cream bars the ice cream man sold had a beautiful baby. That was the standout winner. It's got some kind of shaggy coating, cream cheese frosting, and a full layer of cheesecake (is my guess). It's phenomenal.Online ordering was straightforward and pickup was a breeze. Make sure you let the cakes come to room temp before attacking with a fork or you'll be a sad panda.

I met the AVL Cake Lady at the WNC Farmer's Market where she had a stand for the Watermelon Festival. The watermelon cupcake I sampled was so good that we ended up getting several to take home with us. It's a lovely family-run business and I really enjoyed the cupcakes I ate today. Thank you!
