Bake Shop in Asheville

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife and her parents for our morning coffee.  The Bake Shop is located on the Biltmore grounds and so they have quite the captive audience.  It is near the stables and is quite a small shop with a bunch of outdoor seating.  Whenever I entered the shop the line was snaked to the door and I had to wait a minute or so before I could shut the door behind me.  Inside it looked like your normal coffee shop with a place to order.  However the espresso machine and some other things were down from the register which means that you order and then head over to it in order to wait for your drink.  It's actually quite a poor setup and on this day there was a huge line waiting for their espresso based beverages.  This meant that people who did not order these type of drinks had to make their way through the line...

The Biltmore Bake shop is awful. The tuna sandwich was too cold from the fridge and the croissant hard from the cold. Served with a salty bag of chips! Stay away ! The young lady inside  was super kind though. After I went back in to ask for a coffee to take away the taste she had offered to give me something different on the house. I kindly refused and just asked her to let the management know.  Great staff by the way, they're all very nice!

They place gladly takes your money for a latte.  What place today has no Splenda and Almond milk?  I threw the latte in the trash can.  What a tourist trap.
