Bar 2200 in Houston

The photos are deceiving. It looked nothing like what is displayed in the website. The DJ played all trap/rap music and I smelled marijuana. I was disappointed to say the least with a $150 minimum.

Ok so let's start with the seating set up. They have you rsvp through event Brite which means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. When we got here there was a line ok fine. So we get to the front of the line and we are a party of 3. They told us about 30min wait. 1hr later we're still waiting to be seated yet. The manager came out and didn't give a damn. He told me he doesn't care how long the wait is because their tables cater to larger parties. Came all the way from Indianapolis for this RIDICULOUSNESS. IF YOU'RE AN out if towner dint waste your tune. The eventbrite thing is a joke and the guy at the door said he doesn't even know why they still post that because they don't honor it. Thanks Bar 2200 for wasting my time thinking I was going to enjoy my birthday brunch when I could've went elsewhere and been seated. I only gave 1 star cause I had to

#1 place not visit while in #houston Bar 2200 I get there table for 2. Was meeting a friend. Host seats me. I order a drink. Lamb chops. Mac and Cheese. Friend text she had an emergency. Drink comes. Knocked it off. Waiting on waitress to order another. Host comes and says "You can't sit here. You gotta go stand at the bar. This for two ppl. I say "my other party had an emergency." Host "I should've never sat u down until they was here. But u gotta go to stand at the bar." I say, "go stand at the bar with plates of food." Host, "u ordered food ok. u good to sit there." I go back to listening to the DJ. Security, "can't sit here it's for two ppl. U gotta stand at the bar. We got people waiting to sit down." I say, "so y'all expect me to go stand at the bar, holding drink and food." Security, "idk what u gone do but u can't sit here." I say, "yeah ok." Waitress comes back wit the food. I say, "I don't want it. They said I can't sit here. Not about to stand in the floor with my food. I'll pay for my drink. Waitress, "what? Who said that." I say "security and the host." Waitress, Security, Host all chatting. She comes back and says, "the owner said u straight. It wasn't your fault u good." Needless to say, I paid for my $4.93 drink (happy hour). Tipped the waitress $20. And opted to leave. Definitely not the type of place I will ever visit again. Avoid at all cost. If I could have selected no stars I would have.
