We love BarnCastle and have been many years in a row. We are here on vacation (at a family friend's home) and quarantined at home before we were able to go out to eat. We were extremely excited to come to Barncastle because we love the ambience and pizza! Because of COVID, we called ahead and spoke to a female employee to check their hours and how things work now. She said we could order there for pickup and get our pizza and eat at any of the outdoor areas. She told us they were open until 8 PM. There were four of us listening to the phone call (the employee we spoke to was on speaker phone). We arrived to Barncastle at 7:18 and walked up to the order/takeout window to order. The woman we spoke to (short dark hair and tattoos) was so unpleasant that we will not be coming back this vacation. Her exact words when we informed her that we spoke to someone on the phone who told us close was 8 PM was "well I don't know who told you that because we're all aware that we close at 7." Such a bad attitude and so rude. I also read other recent reviews that reflect the staff is incredibly rude and snooty this season. Pass.
