Baron Long in Alpine

Loooong wait for service on a slow Sunday evening, I was looking for a place to watch football and this was the only place in Viejas casino that resembled a sports bar/restaurant but it's far from it. No volume for football games just cheesy lounge music. They have a lot of TVs but no volume for games, just does not make sense. And food is meh.

Bartender Alex made it a great experience at the bar and in the restaurant. So.... we were about to leave because the previous bartender wasn't even talking to us. Then Alex came on shift and immediately checked on us. He took the time to help my husband find a game in the tv. He made sure to ask if we wanted food before the kitchen closed which was nice because we didnt know the kitchen was about to close. My husband had the wings and I had the crab elote dip... everything was great. Alex made an awesome Lumberjack Old Fashioned which was a delicious spin on an old fashioned drink using bullet whiskey. Alex made my husband a great mai thai cocktail. Alex's service definitely turned our experience into a great one and we are more likely to return to Viejas.

First time to Las viejas casino we came to Baron Long, seeing that there were plenty empty tables we chose to go and try to dine in yet this greeter or whatever he is was rude saying there was a 3hr wait period. We chose to go somewhere else. Second visit we decided to give it a try and My fiancé and I were greeted by the same greeter. We didn't receive any professional greeting, seemed like (Gabriel) had an attitude and while speaking he did not look at us. Sat my fiancé and I to the back corner of the restaurant witch at this time was super empty. I believe Gabriel has Racist tendencies, after not only reading a few reviews on here but seeing his interaction with a white couple that came in after us, he definitely gave them a pleasant greeting with a nice smile on his face. Thank you! To Mayra we had a pleasant dinning in experience, a beautiful soul with An amazing personality instantly making us feel welcomed and comfortable. Even tho my fiancé had a long blonde hair in his salad which the other guy server saw him take that long hair out of my fiancé throat and not receiving at least a discount for that meal. Mayra was still an amazing server and very apologetic. If it wasn't for that long hair in my fiancé salad and him losing his appetite everything else was great. Specially out great server Mayra. First time meeting her and recommended anyone coming here just for her service.
