We went to this restaurant because it was supposedly black owned. We ordered the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles. The shrimp and grits had more tomatoes than anything while the chicken had more batter than meat. Overall it is not highly recommended if you're looking for some good seasoned food!

Excellant food! Excellent service!! It is a joy to dine at Bay34th Street Diner! We stopped in for brunch today. Every employee looked happy to be there, and even though they were very busy, they have quite a system that keeps everything moving smoothly and efficiently! This was our 3rd visit, and certainly won't be our last. We look forward to working our way through the menu!So far we've had the lox and cream cheese croissant, spaghetti and meatballs, banana w caramel sauce crepe, turkey club croissant, blueberry cheesecake, build your own omelet, grits with chorizo and jalapeno, and pancakes with beef bacon. All delicious!Good job Bay34th! You guys nail it on all points! Would highly recommend to anyone!
