So this was my second time at BB's Tex-Orleans. The first time was in May & it left such an impression that we decided to go back for the same experience. Unfortunately it wasn't the same. I ordered the same order I got the first time, Shrimp & Grits. Now I'm vegan, so my spouse always eats the shrimp as I eat the rest, being the vegetables & grits. They served the grits on a plate which threw me off at first. The portion size was also nothing the same compared to it normally being served in a deep bowl. I usually have enough to share with my spouse and enough to fill up on with left overs. This time I couldn't share. I asked the bartender who was serving us if this was now the normal platting, she was less than excited about the question. When I explained why I was asking she stated that the platting had changed to the plates now. Not sure if y'all have ever platted oatmeal before but basically has same appeal. Not sure if this is what has become normal or if they had run out of grits at that time or maybe the dish washer hadn't clocked it yet but I wasn't happy spending $16 on such a skimpy portion.
