Honestly the best pho I have ever had. Whenever I travel , which is quite a bit, I try the local favorite pho spot. Without a shadow of doubt, Bida has yet to be knocked off my number one spot for pho. Period.

Pho is one of those dishes that I’ll go out of my way for in any city I visit. The time and energy and sheer number of ingredients that go into this soup is awe inspiring. During a double date night we chose to give Bida Saigon a try. We all ordered the same thing, rare beef pho. Service was quick and within 5 minutes we were served our pho. Without tasting the soup I say “it smells really sweet”. I dip the spoon in and take a preliminary taste before adding any of the traditional accompaniments. The broth tasted as if it had been laced with straight sugar. The noodles were over cooked and the meat was anything but rare.Restaurants have off days and I know pho varies wildly batch to batch. This may have been an off batch. All four of us agreed that it was too sweet. We paid the bill and left with no to go containers. Something I usually look forward to. We may give it another shot in the future.
