The worst sushi of my life, and quite honestly gross. Ordered 3 different rolls, one is hard to mess up. Spicy tuna. Despite its simplicity it was overly small, overly sweetened rice, and just generally messed up. A 'mango tango' roll with Salmon was disgusting with slimy-feeling salmon that had a disgustingly sweet mango sauce. Couldn't finish that one. One of their Wednesday special rolls was mediocre, but had a very odd mayo-like sauce poured over it. Please visit other sushi places before this one, including the grocery store, for it is better (and maybe even cheaper).

If you're a fan of Japonessa then you'll enjoy Billy Beach Sushi & Bar, as it's the same owner. My friend and I came here for happy hour and had a fun time with karaoke! We had no idea there was karaoke here until we visited late on a Friday night. Get some beers in us and we were fair game to belt our hearts out! Just know that you're singing in front of the entire dining space, so don't be shy! Happy hour was similar to that of Japonessa's, with many sushi and fish options for less than 15 bucks. We ordered the sashimi plate, spicy tuna roll and the super bad boy roll, which is all offered at Japonessa and was enough for the two of us. Glad to have found this spot in Ballard for happy hour sushi and singing! Who knew they had karaoke here? I liked the vibe here more so than Japonessa, as it was more fun and chill, but am glad I can get the same great deals here at Billy Beach.
