Great little nook to hangout and have some coffee. Friendly staff and good coffee. You can even buy artwork there. Saw a few things I would take home with me.

A fun little coffee shop with a good variety of drinks, as well as beans, teas, merch, and local art work for sale. There's a few booths in the back, and the drinks are pretty tasty. I stop here pretty much every time I'm in town. The service is always friendly and they make good coffee, what more can you ask for?

Oh, my!  Stopping at the Black Cat Coffeehouse is an absolute MUST when traveling through the area.  We time our trips between Duluth and Ironwood so that we're hungry when we reach Ashland.  The food (actually, it's more like cuisine) at the Black Cat Coffeehouse is inspired and the chef is willing to substitute ingredients to accommodate vegans.  Oh!, and what remarkable, unique dishes are offered!  We love their soups.  Their coffee options are delectable, even decadent.  While we sat waiting for our lunch, there was a constant stream of people at the counter ordering food and beverages.  No wonder!  This is a delightful place!  The people at the counter are absolutely charming . . . do stop in for the fun of it!  The Black Cat is, without a doubt, our new favorite place.
