I was driving from North Houston to League City when it suddenly hit me. I forgot to buy my sister a Black Walnut Café gift card for her birthday!!! Since there isn't a Black Walnut Café anywhere close to League City or Clear Lake (c'mon BWC! We'd really like one in Clear Lake/Webster/League City), I quickly adjusted my route off the Hardy Toll Road and took a quick 15 minute detour to BWC's Memorial Dr location. My original intention was simply to buy a gift card and skedaddle on to the hacienda. However, it was lunch time and I was hungry. I was happy to see they had some vegan/vegetarian options. Now, if you have looked at my profile photos, you can clearly tell I normally do not eat vegan....
