We wandered into The Blind Pig while walking around downtown on a busy Friday evening. We'd never been for dinner before, only lunch once, long ago. It wasn't very busy when we first got there. We both ordered the steak frites. The food came in a reasonable amount of time. The steaks were delicious, though they both had a good amount of gristle, and though we ordered them medium well, they were both more like medium rare. The fries were good and had a nice seasoning. The waitress was attentive, until near the end of our meal when a huge party of about 15 people came in. She had another waitress working with her, but we were suddenly completely forgotten. We managed to get our check, but then waited a very long time, finally standing up and putting on our coats and then standing there for another 15 minutes before finally flagging her down and asking for our card and receipt back. She had obviously completely forgotten about us, though we were the only other party there that she was helping. It's not a very big place. We were pretty noticeable standing there in our coats. Making good food is great; leaving your customers forgotten is not.
