Beautiful ambience located in the Post Oak Hotel! From arrival, the service was great. The valet promptly approached and I inquired about the valet prices for dining at the hotel. Valet is $6 and they accept cash or card. I was immediately greeted and seated upon arrival at the restaurant. Aaron was our server and he was welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu, offering recommendations and providing options for substitutions. I enjoyed two well crafted cocktails, the Lilac Blossom and the Paula Fay. Of the two, the Lilac Blossom was my favorite. The Texas Trio appetizer is a great sharing size. The queso arrived to our table lukewarm but Aaron quickly took care of this. For the main course, I enjoyed the Pan Seared Branzino....

When the server finally came by, I inquired why there were lunch menus out when we had booked afternoon tea. He checked with the hostess to see the notes on the reservation. They brought over the manager. She said there were no notes about this being for afternoon tea and asked who I spoke to. I didn't recall - it was a month ago. She asked if I signed a contract and provided credit card details. When I said no, she concluded I didn't sign up for the afternoon tea then. She said that the afternoon tea has to be reserved because they have an external vendor to prepare the food ahead of time so it was not possible. She said they could do teas for everyone and in the end it's probably cheaper this way - as if money was my concern here. I had spoken with the restaurant several times last mont...
