Blue Bayou Restaurant in Anaheim

To be honest I was greatly disappointed with how they treated everything. Usually when you go to any type of Disney restaurant whether on property or off they are always so amazingly magical. especially if you are celebrating Something big like an engagement or a birthday.In this case I was celebrating both and our waiter seemed like it was an inconvenience for us to tell him. Even though when you book any type of dining at Disney they ask if you are celebrating a special occasion. At all other times they will give you a free dessert or at least talk to about it wish you the best something. Once again in this case everyone at the restaurant could only seem like we were a bother to them by telling them. As well when I asked if there was anything that could be done the only answer I got was that they no longer did anything at all because of covid. However if I wanted to buy a cake i could do so for 45 dollars extra.To say I was disappointed would be an understatement.

Great food and fun setting

For a while now my boyfriend would mention he really wanted to eat at the blue bayou restaurant in disneys pirates ride.  I went off and on to try to get reservations but they are always booked.  Finally for his actual birthday I was able to reserve lunch reservations.  He was so excited. When we checked in they asked is it anyones birthday and I stated yes.  It is obviously very dim lighting which is kinda nice but they leave food tray stands in the isles making them hard to see. I almost tripped over one on the way to the bathroom. I ordered a mint julep for the first time and it tasted like toothpaste, will not be making that mistake again. we ordered jambalaya and some chicken palate with au gratin potatoes, some green beens and carrots and a gravy.  The potatoes had no flavor and the gravy was salty.  Neither one of left there saying we had to do that agai...
