Was looking to deal with the live poker itch I wanted to scratch, so after a brief check of the local area online, I discovered the nightly games available at Bourbon Street Sports Bar. Stopped in on a Friday night, lots of free parking, a little bit early (1830 since poker was starting at 1900). Staff was still in the starting up the night stage bars are at that early, but everyone I spoke to was very friendly. Bottled drinks were about the expected price. Poker is handled by an outside organization, "Time Well Wasted". Lady running the event was friendly, helped me get all signed up and explained the whole process.
