Large portions and great chowder

We were told by the gal working the register our Breakwater combos would come with 2 pieces of fish, 2 prawns, 3 clam strips, and calamari. So we ordered 2 to go. Each of our meals were missing the calamari and the second piece of fish. They also forgot the clam chowder as we upgraded to a combo. I had to run in again to get the chowder. The food itself is good but the amount of food served for the price is not. I understand it’s busy, but please make sure the correct amount of food is in the containers.

On the Muddy Banks of the Wishkah, you'll find Breakwater Seafoods & Chowder House. If you're looking for some great fish & chips, this is the place. What sets them apart is their panko breading. I do love some good beer battered fish, but the panko is really great. The fish is not at all greasy from the fry. It was crunchy, flaky fresh fish goodness. The fries are also battered and are quite good. The chowder was also tasty with none of that gritty nonsense you get from some chowder houses. Overall, this place is a good option on the harbor. There's a nice view of the river from both the inside dining room & the deck that runs above & along the river. While the fillets were a bit on the small side (compared to most chippy places I've tried), they are still quite good. Go for the 3 piece if you have a bigger appetite.
