If you're looking for something that's opened late in the Richmond area, this is a nice little cafe. From all the times I've visited Richmond, I've noticed that places close pretty early (in my opinion/what I'm used to). SO, when I found that this place was still open to fill my late night sweet tooth, I was ecstatic. The inside is very cute and chic. It is pretty small with just a few tables, but the design was very appealing. They had a floral wall that's great for photos, the lights perfectly lit up all of the pastries in the case, and the menu was easy to read. I ordered quite a few things: Blackforest chocolate cake, Matcha cream puff, deluxe chocolate mousse cake, and a hot French Earl Gray tea. I enjoyed all of the pastries that I got. It wasn't too sweet which is what I like, but on the other hand my boyfriend wished that the pastries were sweeter. It's definitely not for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Four stars for a decent bubble tea (I got a mango slush, it wasn't fruit- I believe they used fruit containing syrups- still better than powder!). The drink was made to my specified sweetness. The baked goods were almost all sold out- it was later in the day. We did snag the cheesecake bites (which were great) as well as a beautiful and delicious mango mousse cake that had mango mousse layered with a very light chocolate sponge cake. It was so good, I would definitely come back just for that. The staff was really friendly and the store was nice and clean. Just a bummer all the non refrigerated goodies were sold out.

I was so looking forward to try Brecotea. I ate the Japanese Millie crepes cake in Northern Virginia and it was amazing. Sadly Brecotea Millie crepes cake was nothing like the original one. It was more like a layered cake with lots and lots of heavy cream. Bummer!
