Spoke with the new Rack owners. They plan to reopen by the end of July 2021. Despite what Yelp says, this business IS NOT CURRENTLY OPEN. That being said, for those wondering, Wayne and Marilyn sold the Broken Rack to Ohana, the cannabis business that was formerly across the street. According to the new owners, they "split the space in half, using half for their new cannabis store, and the other half for billiards." Words cannot express how sad I am about this. Half the pool tables are now gone. What made the Broken Rack so special was its size, the high number of well-maintained tables, the regulars, and variety of players. I made so many friends and learned from some of the best players in the Bay Area. Now there's what? Maybe 8 tables? I'll still check them out when they reopen, because the Ohana folks are nice people and I miss playing pool. But I am hesitant regarding their business model. Will update review and adjust stars after visiting Cafe Rack in person. 3 stars for now.

Great pool hall setting... Wide spaces, well kept tables, great bar location.. My only ding is that service sucks. Servers rarely make rounds. I have had to leave my table to find a server at times. My one missing star from the 5 star system is service...
