My search for the best pumpkin treats continues, and this time, it took me to BRUG. My family loves this place but somehow, we have the reserve to only make it a stop once a year or every two years. This location is conveniently located in the uptown side of Pearlridge, bordering the parking lot facing towards the ocean. It's easy to get items here; with tongs, place your items on trays lined with wax paper. You can also get loaves of bread either cut or uncut. Here's what I got on my latest visit: - cheese mochi pon ($3 for 3 pieces): this is Brug's take on Brazilian chees...

Stopped by here in search for the best custard buns after getting no help from Nagoya Waimalu. I like that the items were individually wrapped in cellophane which will make taking them to the Midwest easier. They provide hand sanitizer at the entrance with one way traffic flow. Which was great. If any Yelper's have a suggestion on where to find the best custard pan, please let me know!

Love Brug Bakery, wish there was one closer to our house! I go almost weekly to get my half loaf of Toasting Bread and of course I grab other pastries and savory bites that intrigue me.  What I love most about Japanese pastries is they are not overly sweet. Not the friendliest staff. You have to go early for the best selection and you can preorder the bread for pick up later. Located in Pearlridge Center near TJ Max.
