This was the sole saving grace to the horrible hotel room I had to stay in - the fabulously friendly Bucket Head Tavern! The Bucket Head is a short walk from a couple of local hotels (and the repair shop my vehicle was in) and I loved the place from the moment I walked in. Yes, it is a smoking bar with both smoking and non-smoking areas, but it was a quiet Monday night with few patrons and with so few people smoking and with so MANY (I counted 7 from where I was seated in non-smoking) air cleaners working, even a smoke-sensitive person like me could stay inside. The bartender, Greg, a strapping, tattooed, polite, well-spoken former marine in school for Supply Chain Management, was friendly, efficient, poured an excellent drink, and was fun to chat with. The chef, Rihanna, came out to chat with us. We requested to thank her personally for such an excellent Nantucket pizza, with olive oil, italian cheeses, and cherry tomatoes that are perfectly carmelized to bring out the natural sweetness.
