Yummy food, I had Mapo Shrimp and the hot meal really made my cold winter much better! Nice and modern interior too! Don't change, Bugis!

Went here by accident during Thanksgiving week due to my favorite Thai place being closed. We were hungry and stumbled across this place. I ordered the chicken and noodle dish (not spicy) while my sister ordered the Seafood Okonomiyaki. WOW! It was delicious and very filling. Even my husband who is a very picky eater liked it. Just yesterday, I told him that I was craving this dish and he admitted that he was craving it too. Can't wait to eat more at this place in the near future!

Bugis is one of the Korean restaurants on The Ave that has been on my bucket list for a while now. I ordered the Original Tteokbokki ($11.50 + tax) via Grub Hub to go for lunch today. When I arrived to pick up my order, there was a large sign that said to please be patient as they only have one cook and one server working. The server was busy putting together drinks and so I patiently waited about five minutes. The server was friendly and promptly handed me my order. While service was good, I was unfortunately disappointed by the food. I love the mochi texture of Tteokbokki and while the texture was there, the flavor was not. The spicy red sauce was very sweet and a 2-star in spice at most. It was also very liquidy and tasted watered down. The highlight of the dish was the skewered gyoza, but the gyoza were small. The hard boiled egg was nothing special. The fish cake was good but also nothing out of the ordinary. I'm also disappointed that Bugis doesn't give ban chan (appetizers) with takeout. That's always my favorite part about getting Korean food. Portion sizes were average, but definitely on the smaller size in comparison to Korean Tofu House. For almost $22 it's almost $1 per tteobokki noodle. Overall: 3/5 for food, 3.5/5 for service
