Story time: my wife and I decided to spend the night in Amarillo to break up a long drive. After visiting Cadillac ranch, we decided to get some burgers and shakes at Buns Over Texas. It seemed reasonably priced and had decent reviews. I did the drive through and ordered two burgers, two shakes, and onion rings. It seemed like a pretty straight-forward order for a burger place. They had me wait in the stall for 20 minutes while I watched as car after car behind me received their order and left. Finally I received my order of two dry unseasoned patties on stale buns. We spend $30 dollars and ended up throwing both burgers away. The onion rings were cold and the shakes were almost as runny as chocolate milk. Maybe our experience is unique but I would never recommend this place to anyone with whom I want to remain friends.
