This establishment is not good with keeping water stocked when people don't want tap water. Also poetry night was bad. Equipment difficulty and the host is terrible. I won't come here since average poor people won't call them out for and expects low standards. ( I'm not average. )

I love this place, a little oasis of BLM in the middle of Shirlington's gentrified shopping district. Very nice if small book selection, a good menu, and excellent seating areas. I hope to see a performance there someday.

Busboys and Poets is amazing. A great vibe and wonderful service! Jose Penalva was one of the best waiters I've run into ! I've never experienced someone caring about when I say I have a lot of allergies. They took the time to look over menu items with me and provided me the support I needed to make the choices that were best for me! I will definitely be back! Also, amazing book selection!! i speny almost an hour getting lost in the books alone lol
