Update (21-Jan-22): Kent responded to my review below. He was very apologetic, and sent me certificates to go back and give it another shot. That was quite a while ago, as I was traveling often between Illinois and Texas and lost the certificates. But when we moved back to Texas I found them while unpacking. Since we were going to Alvin on last Friday we decided to stop by and try again.What a difference from last time! Both the food and the service were great! I'm sure we will be stopping by again.
