Our dinner was good, the plantains could have been fried a bit more, but the tres leches cake was the worst thing my fiancé and I have ever eaten together. It genuinely made us both gag and he has an iron stomach. It tasted spoiled with a hint of freezer burn. I’m disgusted. Completely ruined my opinion on this restaurant.

We had a large group on Christmas Eve, and we made the reservation several weeks in advance. We had a wonderful experience! Even though our reservation was towards the end of the evening, we never felt rushed or like we were an inconvenience. The server was friendly and attentive and made our evening special.

Cafe Acapulco has gotten a lot better! After ownership sold a couple years ago, the menu change was not good. We decided to check back today and wow! Apparently they changed the menu back to the style of Tex-Mex we love here in Texas. And, the menu selection is wider than many Mexican food places.Like all food service businesses these days, they're hurting for waiting staff. But if you can overlook their service challenges, you'll leave full, and satisfied.
