I ate here a few years ago and I remembered it being pretty decent. But this time I was very disappointed. The bbq wasn't very good and I can make better brisket on my weber. Plus the staff wasn't very welcoming or enthusiastic. But I guess that's what happens when you hire a bunch of college kids.

The food here is absolutely wonderful. I had the steak marinaded in ale it was tender, juicy, and fresh! The cook temperature was a perfect medium rare. The service however was subpar. They seemed to be short staffed for our party size, which is understandable but still made the over all experience a 4 Instead of 5. Overall I would highly recommend Calhouns on the river to anyone who wants a great meal

Love Calhoun's on the river,the food and atmosphere are great.I only gave it four stars due to terrible parking situation.Over all though it's a great place to eat.
