I've been coming to the California Pizza Kitchen at Santa Anita for years. Last week I phoned in an order for their Tomato Basil Spaghetti (my favorite). I arrived, picked it up, and took it home. When I opened it at home I realized the order was wrong and I had meat sauce instead (this order was for my son who is a vegetarian). I called the restaurant and was put in touch with the manager., Laura. She was very nice and said they would get me the correct order and reimburse me. She also asked if I would like anything else, including another pasta. Long story short, I ended up taking home my original order (correct this time -- the items simply got mixed up when they bagged them), an extra spaghetti, and Laura insisted I take home some of their delicious red velvet cake. They made the situation right and then some. They were also very gracious and apologized for what happened. The poor girl who mixed up the orders was really sorry. Stuff happens. Anyway, thanks to Laura and everyone for turning a bad situation into an even better one.
