An employee did not give my credit card back. I called to talk to the manager who was rude and unprofessional. He defended his staff. He didn’t even look. Do not visit this place. They will take your card and I can’t believe the customer service. This place should not be in business.

I had a taste for a juicy roast beef po boy sandwich. I normally get my po boy from Verna Mae, but no I wanted to try someplace new. I purchased the 8” roast beef, hot sausage and 8 piece chicken platter. Well the chicken, I thought I was getting 8 whole wings, but that was not so They count the drum part of the wing separate, so I only got 4 wings, but the wings was on point in taste Then when I opened the roast beef po boy I was like “where is the gravy?”, it was dry and salty. I mouth was drooling for a juicy roast beef, totally disappointed Will not buy it again from there, Verna Mae got the roast beef NOLA style. Then lastly the hot sausage po boy. Well it as well was dry, but the taste was on. They was very Stingy on dressing and mayo. I had to add more Overall it was a waste of money and time to drive 20 minutes from home.

I normally don't give reviews, but this restaurant warrants one. Going through quarantine the past while, I've occasionally ordered delivery (via UberEats)- and almost every time, it's been from Calliope's. The soft shell crab poboys, frog legs, wings, alligator, and especially their Remoulade sauce are all to die for. The sauce goes well with everything, the food is always fresh and a good temperature despite being delivered, and nothing is ever wrong on my order. The only thing I've had that I wouldn't order again is the crawfish pie- as I'm not really one for rice in crawfish pies, but everything else deserves a rating beyond 5 stars. Before, Cajun food was an occasional craving. Now it's practically a once-a-week routine. I hope they stay in business! I haven't dined in, but I plan to very soon after the current situation blows over.
