I just ate one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Omg the mayo was Amazing! The bread so yummy. No joke go try a bacon egg sandwich, you won't regret it. The shop is cute, great ambiance! Love the house plants around the store and for sale! Only suggestion is larger coffee sizes.

The venue is very nice. Clean bathrooms. Nice staff. Feels like an oasis for the white folks who live in the Northside. This was my first time. I asked for recommendations which seemed to stump the person. He looked over to the pastries and offered some type of turnover and a matcha souffle type. Both good choices but why 2 pastries? Later I saw they served sandwiches and other breakfast things. Maybe they aren't good because I wasnt offered any of them. Idk.I ordered a double dark coffee, which frankly I could make better coffee using a hot plate, a Yeti and a rubber band. I was expecting "Coffee House" type Coffee not Yuban you pour into hot water. (That's what it tasted like)2 pastries and coffee that was smaller than a Tall st Starbucks ran me $18!!To me, it wasn't worth it. The pastries taste like they came out of a package. Not fresh very dry and very overpriced.I doubt I'll ever come here again. If you are a coffee connoisseur and enjoy high quality pastries this place isn't for you.My advice is train your people to make better suggestions. And have a little diversity in your team.

Canary Cafe is exactly what you want in a cafe. The employees here actually love what they're doing, and they come up with cool coffees and care about customer feedback. While visiting Houston from Austin we came here every morning because of how addicted we were to the coffee. Not to mention the food is killer. How the hell does a cafe make such good pizza? How are their breakfast burritos the bomb? We actually thought about moving to Houston because how in love we were with this coffee shop.If you're in Houston, go here. Get everything, and anything. You won't regret it.
