Carson's Steak Warehouse in Anderson

This place is average, nothing more, nothing less. I've been with larger parties each time I've gone (6+ people). Any time we would like to have a family dinner at a restaurant, we always seem to end up at Carson's due to the lack of options. Carson's is the only steakhouse in Anderson (that I know of) that has continued seating parties larger than 6 throughout the pandemic, so that is a plus. The service, however, is slow. Asking even for ketchup or a straw is a task, as it takes at least 5 minutes to actually find its way back to your table. The food is okay, but I've had much better at other locations in the area. There's nothing unique about the menu. The prices are reasonable. The dining room doesn't offer much ambiance, but it's also called Carson's Steak "Warehouse" so there's not much in the way of expectations there. While staying at the HI next door, I stopped by around 8 on a Wednesday night. I ordered the hamburger steak w/peppers onions and gravy with the house salad and a baked potato. The blue cheese dressing needed some chunks of cheese to be great. The hamburger was made fresh and not frozen. Overall a very good meal. Kendra, my server, was great. The two blonde women working the front door needed smiling lessons. The bill was $14.

Carson's doesn't social distance or enforce masks. Sat a crowd at a table right up against our table. Some wait staff wore masks on their chin, others not at all. When that much visible rule breaking is going on, how bad are they behind the scenes? Do they ignore other health/sanitation rules? It's a shame but I'm not going back.
