Gorgeous Mexican spot in the heart of the Amazon buildings downtown. Their happy hour offerings do not disappoint. We really loved the mini chili rellenos as an appetizer, as well as their scratch margaritas which were surprisingly strong. Their fish tacos were delicious, but the chicken tinga tacos were not the best as the chicken was a little dry and bland. Overall, service was great and well worth the trip. I definitely recommend stopping in.

First time trying this place. Wasn't impressed - Service kinda sucked.  Appetizers were brought to table with no plates (never did receive any plates, dirty glass, really didn't see the waiter or waitress (didn't know who was really our waiter).  They were out of chili rellanós - Husband ordered the Carne Asada plate and his entire meal was bland.  My pozole was pretty good - just didn't like the service to much. Wouldn't go back.

I decided on Casco Antiguo to see how good Seattle Mexican food would be. The place is very nondescript - even if the facade is bright orange, there isn't much activity or signage outside the restaurant. I go in, and the hostess at the front of the restaurant tells me I'd probably be served faster sitting in the Cantina in the back of the restaurant. I go back, and I see that that was only somewhat true - the cantina was fuller than the front room. Nonetheless, I was seated relatively quickly. The cantina is mostly candlelit - it's very dark, but I wouldn't say it's intimate, owing to the punk music playing. I ordered the pozole and the tacos de pescado. One of the biggest irks my visit - tacos are sold in pairs, and pairs have to be the same kind of taco. No mixing or matching within a pair. So instead of getting three different tacos, I got two tacos de pescado. I'm accustomed to white pozole, but the pozole here is red. It was great - there were a variety of toppings provided including cilantro, cabbage, lime, avocado, etc... The broth was savory and the pork was tender. The fish tacos were made with salmon - I've never had a salmon taco in my life until now. The tacos were good, but I felt like the toppings and everything involved could have synergized better. With apple salsa and blacke...
