This spot is the epitome of a hidden gem. A don't judge a book by its cover. Super random in a kinda janky plaza that might give some the spooks. But when I saw the 5 star yelp reviews, I knew it had to make it on our Friday date brunch rotation. So we get in and the lady taking orders was sooooo kind and patient. This is rare for some of my dear black owned restaurants so I was pleasantly surprised. You will have to wait a while for your food (about 20 to 30 mins). But that's because they definitely make everything fresh. Food came out piping hot! Everything was tasty and well made. I LOVED my fried porkchop. They give you hefty portion. An interesting thing they do which my husband and I actually thought was nice (though others might disagree) is they serve the food in the restaurant on to go containers. Now given how cheap they charge for the meals and the overall no frills atmosphere AND with the way COVID has destroyed small businesses, we were cool with this set up. Quite smart actually. No need to do dishes, no need for extra manpower, less energy waste, less cleanup. Final gr...
