The Owner Bob came up and checked on my father's and I lunch after expressing concern about wanting my food prepared a certain way. You can tell he believes in customer satisfaction and strives to make every customer happy when leaving the restaurant. Thank you for showing the people you care and it's not just about the $$.

This place is just AWESOME . I’m speechless !!! I got the pit beef sandwich, don’t forget to add the Carolina tangy gold BBQ sauce . YOU WONT REGRET IT !!!!!! FIVE STAR

Amazing. Definitely representing Baltimore's specialty of pit beef but in a much less sketchy neighborhood than their other locations. We tried the beef, turkey, and Ruben--all were good. The meat is succulent and tender, they give ample toppings, and everything is tasty. I definitely recommend getting the horseradish sauce, and their pickles are wonderful. Fries are great also. One con--depending on who is manning the meat slicer, you may get more or less salty meat. The reason is some of the workers clear off the slicer between servings, which leaves you with the proper amount of seasoning. If they don't...

This bbq fast food establishment was just what we were looking for. The sandwiches were huge and beef was correctly cooked (and you are given a choice of how you wanted it cooked). The beef sandwiches were delicious. We got three sides. I liked the fries. They were not greasy and they tasted like potatoes! My husband liked the coleslaw, quite fresh. We'll pass on the green beans next time (canned beans mixed with canned tomatoes). Plenty of tasty condiments for your sandwich but I recommend the tiger sauce mixed with the house bbq!!! We'll see you again Chaps!

First experience there! Food was excellent! Not one complaint. Didn't take long to get the food even during lunch service.

Finally checked this place out and I was so disappointed!! I been to several pit beef stops before and always get pit turkey which is hot off the pit and thought it was the same thing here and boy was I dissappointed when I got a cold turkey sandwich which cost over $10 for some lunch meat I could of done made at home! Will never return that is for sure.

I tried the original location so had to see how it measured up and it was great!

I've never heard of it, but the sign and website says it's famous, so damn, I'm going to give it a try. I ordered pork ribs and burnt ends with a side of coleslaw. The cashier was friendly and helpful, and her eyes lit up when I asked her if the burnt ends were good!! When I saw that I had to get them. Ok, I know I'm from California, but what I got for burnt ends wasn't what I was expecting. Not that it was bad, but I was expecting brisket burnt ends. What I got was chunks of meat, probably beef, chicken, pork - not really sure what was in there. It looked like the end bits from meats that had been sliced for sandwiches. Mixed with some bbq sauce and hot sauce it was really pretty good. I also ordered a pound of pork ribs. I'm not the biggest fan of spare ribs, but these were really good. The ribs were perfectly cooked, very meaty, and the bbq sauce was really good and tasty. As usual I ordered too much, and as usual I left the place overstuffed!! Story of my life.

Sandwiches are delicious, service was polite, place was very clean. We got the raven and the BBB (off menu). Both were delicious and huge. Didn't need any sides.

Listen, this comment isn't about the food it's about the staff -- Husband and I decided on Chaps last night for dinner. I was ready and wasn't going to settle for anything else ! Lol While Walking in at first we were slightly confused and you can tell something happened - on a mid rush hour Friday night during dinner hours. You can tell staff was literally figuring it out on a fly ! While patiently wait...

Food has always been amazing but today it was a little disappointing. We order two or more chicken sandwiches- juicy chicken breast, but today it looked like tenders and they were over cooked. Called to speak with the manager but the young lady wouldn't but the manager on the phone. Very disappointing.

This place food is not consistent, some days the food is good, others no so, sometimes it tastes old, not fresh, when you have boys that eat meat, for them to say something, it a rarity..

GREAT PIT BEEF AND OTHER PIT SANDWICHES ALL GREAT MADE TO YOUR ORDER.

Where do I start? Let’s go with the bad first. The last two times I’ve gone to Chaps in Aberdeen, they have messed up my family’s food. Tonight we ordered pick up and my wife’s burger was still raw when she bit into it. When she went to Chaps to wait for our pick up order, the employees (manager) included were busy flirting and joking with each other to do their jobs correctly. For example, one cook was throwing things on the floor while a girl, who was sweeping, had to clean it up. I’m a chef myself and I’ve worked in kitchens most of my life. There’s nothing wrong with joking as long as you do your job correctly. Raw beef can absolutely make someone sick and food safety is not a joke! When my wife brought her burger back up to the restaurant, the night manager was rude. He didn’t ask what was wrong with...

The ham and turkey sandwiches are the real highlight of this place. The roast beef sandwiches are really good, just not the best meat here. Selection of sauces is great including the mustard sauce.

It took 25 minutes for one pit beef sandwich. It wasn’t overly busy and there was a lot of staff standing around. The sandwich was overly well done and not as good as it used to be. Service and quality is not even close to the original Chaps in Baltimore.

Quick! Every bite handmade - no food service mushy fries or sloppy slaw here! Try the tiger sauce. Everyone happy, including picky teen with handmade burger patty. I leave this review to help myself remember to come back when passing along 95.

Great food, great place

Best pit beef around. Comes out fast and fresh every time

Food was great; however the service was not. The cashier (short with glasses) was very rude. I ordered (4) sandwiches and after every one, she kept saying "is that all" clearly annoyed and I repeated twice that I was ordering multiple sandwiches, only to get the same response each time. When I asked to switch a small fry to a large, I got a very heavy sigh and eye roll... Then when we were waiting on the bench for our food to come out, one of the employees was walking around the back joking with the other guys while eating a large Rice Krispy treat bar. Like really? Not sure how much unprofessional you can get between the two. Probably won't be back to this location again.

I love this place!! My order is always correct and the staff is always friendly. Everything here is amazing!!

Have been to the original location on Pulaski Highway a couple of times and decided to give their Aberdeen location a try. Looks like they've started to franchise as they also have a location in Glen Burnie/Frederick, Rehoboth and Media, PA. This is a bigger location with a decent size dining area as well outdoor seating. We ordered the Triple D and Pit Beef with hand cut fries. I only realized that I got a double D (massive burger with ham and cheese) when I got home. (Mistake in order as the sandwiches sound the same) we swapped the sandwiches without issue. The Triple D was I remembered it-a carnivore's delight stuffed with pit beef, corned beef and sausage. A good one for sharing and somehow this combination of meats works. I'm going to need to try the Pit Beef medium well or well to get the smoke and bark as the medium didn't really...

A nice accidentally find. If you love pit beef, you found your place. Great fries too.

Whoa.. we loved this place!! The sandwich was amazing and don't forget the banana pudding!! The potato salad was on point as well. Friendly staff and patrons as well! Thx Chaps!

This is the best place for bbq! Hands down! The Turkey Rachel is off the charts good! I have yet to find any other pit place that tastes as good! The baked beans are loaded with mat and have that great tart yet just a tad bit spicy! So good ! Guy was right! They are the best !!!

No better put beef around can't go wrong and those fries if you leave here hungry you got a tapeworm!

Awesome spot. While the original location has its own unique charm, this location is great. Very inviting and better family atmosphere

This place is truly dysfunctional! I frequent the Chaps down on Pulaski highway (worth the 30 min drive, btw) and I have never experienced the chaos and disregard like the Aberdeen location. Trying to get an event catered for 50 people and they put me on hold for over 10 minutes...guess who's feeling the clown? Thinking that there may have been an oversight, I called back a second time. WRONG! The girl answered the phone with a slight "hello?" and I instantly knew that I was dealing with the most amateurish of first line staff. I again stated that I was looking for my event of 50 people to be catered and she put me on a brief hold, came back and asked me if I could hold while she looked for her manager. I said "absolutely not" and ended the call. Bottom line: If you have loads of time to wait aro...

Chap's makes a point of wrapping itself in its hype: the windows and walls are slathered in plaques, newspaper excerpts, and reminders of which famous TV foodies have eaten here. Hell, the back of employee t-shirts reads "Guy ate here." I hate to be a Debbie downer or go against the grain, but after today's experience at Chap's I don't understand the hype at all. In fact, I'm baffled by it. Baltimore is known for its own style of bar...

Food is always very good and usually comes out quickly. Pricing is reasonable and portion sizes are definitely a great value.

The meat was good. I got a sample of all of it by buying the big John sandwich. I would skip the fries. They are pretty heavy.

First time I came here in early 2020, I was impressed by the smokey flavor and juiciness of the pit beef sandwich. It was more flavorful and in my opinion better than Pioneer Beef in Catonsville (the only other pit beef I have had). Now a year later, I was driving thru Aberdeen again and made an effort to stop to relive that experience. Sadly, this time it was dry and not very good at all. This brings one word to mind - inconsistent. The cream-based cole slaw side was good to average, and the speed of service was typical for a fast food place.

Loved the old bay wings

Such a great find in the Granite Run Promenade.! The roast beef sandwiches were done to perfection and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I had the roast beef special with coleslaw and Russian dressing and my husband had a traditional roast beef sandwich. both were excellent. We also had the famous banana pudding and it did not disappoint! The service was qu...

A solid barbeque spot in a growing area. The pit beef is good and hits the spot. The pulled pork sandwich and fries, however, were disappointing. It's a popular place, so order ahead during peak times. The staff seemed to be doing a pretty good job with sanitizing, social distancing, wearing masks, etc.

Chapps is an all time favorite of mine but this one is not quite as good as the original. Still 4 stars...
