We had an excellent dinner for two at an outside table. Great service and atmosphere. Had the French onion soup and chef's shrimp both delicious. The short rib was very good as was the Coq au Vin. The chocolate dessert was out of this world !

Hidden deep in the Polo Club shopping center, near the under construction Publix and bustling nail joint is an oasis of culinary delight. You wouldnt think twice about the place if you saw it. It just sort of blends into the generic Boca background. But aesthetics aside, Chez Marie is an outstanding choice for expertly prepared French food and it's also a nice spot for special occasions. We stopped in by chance and suspected it would be a just OK, but, quite the contrary; we were treated to one of the best meals in recent memory! This place was so good it actually stacked up rather well with our favorite French spots in NYC. Very surprising for a French restaurant in a Florida shopping center! I got the smoked salmon app with dill cream, capers and onions along with the beef filet cooked in truffles and duck fat. Huge success on both counts. The steak in particular was absolutely marvellous, cooked perfectly to medium rare and gorgeously seared. Why doesn't everyone sear steak in duck fat? It looks and tastes so good.
