My favorite Chinese food in all of Seattle. Such a hidden gem.

So good. We'll be back!! Complimentary tea is nice. Excellent Hot & Sour Soup (as good as Judy Fu's)! We loved the Shanghai style pan fried rice cakes (which have Napa cabbage, shiitake mushrooms and thin sliced pork in a brown sauce) along with the Spicy Basil Chicken and Vegetables (which has baby corn, water chestnuts, broccoli, Chinese broccoli choy sum, in a mild spiced brown sauce). White rice is $2 per small bowl (per person). Only wish they had some music playing for more ambience.

Don't let the exterior of Chiang's chase you away, the food and service are excellent. We had the 5star chicken, sizzling rice soup, honey walnut shrimp and white rice, what a treat. I've been to Chiang's Gourmet multiple times over a decade, it never disappoints and is as good now (July 21) as ever.
