CLOSED in March 2016 China Max is one of three food counters in the Colonie Center for fast Asian food. China Max has been in this food court for many years long before the recent renovations to the food court. The other Asian food counters here are Nori Japan and Cajun Cafe & Grill, which serves up practically identical Chinese items and at the same prices too. The food here is hit or miss depending on how long the food has been sitting under steam table. Whenever I'm shopping at this mall,  I will take a break in the food court. China Max serves up mainly Chicken dishes (orange Chicken, bourbon Chicken, Gen Tsos chicken), beef & veg, mixed vegetables, potatoes, fried rice, veg lo mein, egg rolls, Coke fountain drinks, and bottled drinks (Snapple, Pepsi products). The prices here are pretty reasonable here. 1 entree choice & fried rice or lo mein ($3.59), 1 entree choice & egg roll & fried rice or lo mein ($4.39), 2 entree choice & fried rice or lo mein ($4.79), 3 entree choice & fried rice or lo mein ($5.99) I stop here often for quick cheap eats. The bourbon Chicken here is good, but the orange Chicken is too sweet. The veg fried rice us decent and the lo mein could be oily sometimes. The egg roll here is very generic, filled with just shredded cabbage. The portion of food is just right.
